Tim Unger and Sarah Docter-Wiliams won the Red Pepper Run 5K at St. George Island March 3 in times of 17:10 and 17:31, respectively.
The race drew a record number of 184 registered runners, and there were 179 finishers, under gorgeous skies at St. George Island, with no threat of rain as had been predicted earlier in the week.
In the men’s division, Bill McGuire finished second overall in a time of 17:18, followed by Mike LaBossiere in a time of 17:28.
In the women’s division, second place went to Jane Johnson with a time of 19:10, followed in Allsion Eagen in a time of 19:13.
Hobson Fulmer was first St. George Island resident, a special award category, in a time of 19:16.
