High School Class 1A District 1 Cross Country Championships
From UWF Campus, Thursday, November 1, 2001
Host: Pensacola Christian
Course/Conditions: 3 miles, extremely hilly/sunny, mid 80s

Adriana Piekarewicz led the Maclay girls to second place in the 1A District
Cross Country meet and a place in next weeks Regions Championships in
Tallahassee at Maclay High School. Port St. Joe also moved on. On the boys side
Maclay captured the title and moved on to the Region meet along with Florida
High. Josh Hollingsworth captured the boys title. Top Maclay runners, Ryan Deak
and Kara Newell cheered their teammates on from the sidelines while resting up
for next week’s competition.
