Athlete of the Week nominations - May 14, 2001

GIRLS: Malika Clary (Rickards) At 3A State, placed 4th in the 200m (25.43) and ran a leg on the Raiders’ 3rd place 4×100 (48.26 – fastest in the Big Bend). Megal Atias (9, Lincoln) 5th Place 11:30 at 3200m was highest area girls’ finish at 4A State.

BOYS: Mike Williams (12, Godby) At 3A State, lept area-best 47-0.5 for third in the triple jump, and added on a 7th place 22-8.5 in the long jump. Craphonso Thorpe (12, Lincoln) 2nd at 4A State 100m (10.68) and ran on area-best 4th place 4×100 team (41.69)
