The abbreviated 2020 high school cross county season came to a close for Florida High Schools on November 14-15.
- The Tallahassee Democrat’s 2020 Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year is Lillian Unger. She finished 4th at the state cross country championships leading her team, the Leon Lions, to a second place finish at the state cross country meet. Lilli chose the big stage to run a PR time of 18:31.10. It also just happened to be a PR.

- Congratulations should also go to the Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year – Jacob Rogers. Jacob finished 3rd in class 3A.
- And finally congrats to coaches of the year, Angie Milford, Maclay Boys, and Andrew Wills, Leon Girls. It was Andrew’s second year as coach of the year.
- The performance of the meet belonged to Winter Spring High School runner, Caroline Wells, who ran a course record time of 1716.50 to win the 3A state championship.
