GWTC has provided considerable support this year for two local track clubs and they are making the most of it. The Capital City Christian Crusaders and the Big Bend Track Club went to the AAU regionals in Tampa and qualified 34 members for the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Cleveland, Ohio starting on July 31, 1999. Each of these organizations has strong ties to GWTC members and is under the supervision of some outstanding coaches. There number one goal is to provide opportunities for area youths to participate in track and field instead of getting involved in trouble. Two members of the CCCC club provided the following stories about the Tampa meet.
