Summer Mornings Include Running Fitness (SMIRF)
Running fitness for cross-country, track, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and tennis. Conditioning includes runs at various paces and distances, strength training, form drills, and games. For all ages, but participants must initially be able to run 1 mile in under 9 minutes.
Schedule
Weekdays, 7:45 – 9:15am daily, from Monday, May 29, to Friday, August 11
Location
Maclay School Track. Sessions will be in the vicinity, including nearby trails.
Cost (payable to Maclay Track Boosters)
Any 2 weeks: $50
Any 4 weeks: $80
Entire summer (11 weeks): $150
Typical Morning
7:45-7:55am Meet and divide into groups.
8:00 SHARP! Endurance or speed session.
8:45-9:15am Popsicles/frisbee/cooldown.
