Once again, the year 2000 continues with the overall winner in a GWTC Grand Prix Race being FEMALE. The winner in question, Ann Von Schuppen, hails from The Netherlands, training out of Gainesville, won the GWTC 30K in 1:53:04 Feb. 5, 2000.
She knows of our other Grand Prix Overall Winner, Breeda Dennehy-Willis. Von Schuppen’s training for her country’s Olympic marathon team. She set a new female race record by about 5 minutes, albeit on a temporary course.
